Pee Wees tournament – September 20th
Location:
Hastings Intermediate School – 9.00am -12.30pm
Events:
Patterns, Sparring (non-contact), Power Punch, Special Technique.
Kids enter all events on the day.
Age:
12 years and below
On registration competitors will be sorted into groups based on size for sparring, power punch, and special technique; and grades for patterns.
Rules:
Sparring:
Each competitor will have at least 2 bouts – but most likely more.
Flag System for judging based on best technique used.
Strictly no contact. Mouth guard only (no protective gear required)
Equipment – flags
Patterns: Designated pattern (4 direction punch/block is okay).
If the kids don’t know a pattern, they will be judged on some of their basic techniques.

Power punch: Punching a pad across the room. Play offs until winners are determined. Can be done as a complete group OR in ranks/ages etc

Special Technique:
Flying high kick. Play offs until winners are determined.

Entry – $30pp Families x 2 $50; x3 or more $60 (pay on the day)
No paperwork as presentation is done after every division
No draw required
